2025/26 School Year - Focus

As part of our continued commitment to enhancing student literacy across all subjects and departments, we are deepening our collective learning journey through the Spirals of Inquiry framework. Literacy is not confined to English or Language Arts—it is foundational to learning in every discipline, and together we can make a meaningful impact.

This year, we will focus on:

• Enhancing literacy across all departments by embedding literacy strategies into subject-specific instruction. Our Grade 8 Literacy team is one example.
• Continuing our work with Spirals of Inquiry, using curiosity-driven questions to guide our departmental practices.
• Sharing departmental processes, inquiries, and learning journeys to foster cross-disciplinary collaboration and inspire innovative approaches.

Each department will have opportunities to present their inquiry focus, strategies, and reflections. These shared experiences will help us build a cohesive, school-wide approach to literacy that supports all learners.
