Common PLT Sessions offering presentations to students across the district
The use of artificial intelligence (AI) continues to expand rapidly, influencing not only education but society as a whole. As AI becomes increasingly integrated into our daily lives, it is important to recognize both its potential as a powerful tool and the limitations and risks it presents. As part of a district-wide initiative, secondary students across Richmond will engage in a series of learning sessions focused on the safe, ethical, and effective use of artificial intelligence.
The school district selected Thursdays to be a common PLT day for all high schools with the intention to offer presentations to students across the district. The following district sessions below will take place:
Jan. 8- Getting the Most Out of AI Prompt Engineering
Feb. 12- Getting the Most Out of AI Enhanced Communication
Mar. 5- Getting the Most Out of AI Agents – Productivity
Apr. 2- Fostering Creativity through AI as a Creative Partner: Supporting the Creative Process
May. 21- Fostering Creativity through AI as a Creative Partner: Supporting Creative Production
