Hey Griffins! Multicultural Club would like to announce a LUNAR NEW YEAR TALENT SHOW on January 29 from 4:15-6:00 PM in the lounge, tickets will cost $2! Whether you're a singer, dancer, musician, or have a unique talent, we want to see it! Sign-ups are now open, if you see one of our posters around the school scan it or check our Instagram to secure your spot before January 20! Prizes include a: $25 chatime gift card, 3ft tall jumbo fries pack, and 4 jumbo sized LaTiao! There will also be a raffle for everyone who buys a ticket! Also anyone participating in the talent show is welcome to sign up to join the dragon boat club’s new year hotpot!”

All students, reminder that you have the opportunity to speak to your counsellor to see if you qualify for a semester 2 course change until January 21st. No course change requests will be accepted after that time.

A reminder to our Grade 10’s that Graduation Literacy Assessments will be taking place this week Tuesday to Thursday. Please check the boards outside the main office for the date and time that you are scheduled to write your assessment. We will be following an alternate bell schedule on these days with PLT/Assessments running until 11:15 – block A will start at 11:30. If you are not writing an assessment, you are able to sign up for two PLT sessions between 8:30 and 11:15.

Hey griffins, there will be open gym for badminton on tomorrow, January 14th and Thursday, January 16th, at lunch in the large gym. Open gym for juniors will be on Tuesday and seniors on Thursday. Sign up for badminton doubles will be on the qr code on the bulletin board outside the PE office and will also be in our instagram bio link. See you there!

Course Planning for 2025-26 is Coming Soon! Please spend some time over the break and in January looking over your Course Planning options for 2025-26 on the Palmer website. Students' personalized Program Planning forms will be distributed on February 6 during grade-wide assemblies; the forms must be signed by parents and handed in to the Counselling Centre by 3 PM on Thursday, February 13, 2025. Course selections must also be entered online between February 6th and February 13th.

Living Beyond the Horizon is having a Winter Reflection board this Thursday and Friday during lunch at the lounge. Stop by at the Pride Mural anytime to reflect about last year and your New Year's resolutions! Answer at least one question, and you'll also receive candy as a treat!
