Based on trends and data collected through district surveys, we have found PLT to be extremely successful for our school community - more importantly building stronger connections. Students have used the time to catch up on missed work, receive additional support from teachers in smaller groups and collaborate on group projects with other students. Students and staff have also used the time to "connect" with one another. Students and staff have vocalized that this time also allows students to prioritize their learning, mental health, and feeling connected. Overall, 91% of students see PLT as beneficial for their learning. Upon reviewing attendance and sign-ups for PLT blocks, the second hour of PLT has seen a higher attendance rate, as well as Wednesdays versus Tuesdays.
