10 Days of Kindness
A part of our learning journey, our students told us we needed to create more opportunities for everyone to engage in inclusion, connecteness and random acts of kindness. As a result, our committed staff and students devloped 10 days of kindness the 2 weeks prior to spring break. These days were highlighted with random acts of kindness, class discussions of inclusivity and lunch activities where students could engage in fun activities to bring about a greater sense of community.
One activity included the blooming of a cherry blossom tree in the main foyer of the school. Students filled in "blossoms" with acts of kindness both small and large. These were written, acttulized and shared as our blossom tree went from nothing to full bloom over the 10 days of kindness at Palmer.
