Palmer Learning Time 2026-2027 at Palmer Secondary

The feedback received from students, staff, parents, and guardians through the District Personal Learning Time (PLT) survey conducted in late February/early March confirms that PLT remains a valued component of the secondary school schedule. In addition, both students and staff expressed strong support for increasing PLT to 120 minutes per week. This additional time will support deeper learning, increase access to teacher support, provide more opportunities to complete assessments, and allow for sustained focus on learning tasks during the school day.

At RC Palmer Secondary School, PLT will be scheduled on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9:40 a.m. to 10:40 a.m., beginning in the third week of September. Students will receive guidance on how to use PLT effectively to support their learning, including instructions on registering for sessions and understanding attendance procedures at the start of the school year.
