An action that we have taken to support our school’s learning focus is:
We have Implemented a consistent, school-wide approach to strengthening literacy by sharing weekly literacy support strategies with families through a dedicated agenda item- Supporting Literacy at Home in our weekly WAAG (Week at a Glance). 

This action supports our school’s learning focus in the following ways:

• It strengthens the home-school partnership by providing parents with practical, strategies to support literacy development outside of the classroom.
• It promotes consistency in messaging and approach between parents and teachers.
• It reinforces the importance of literacy as a shared responsibility- home and school.

• It empowers families to engage more confidently in their child’s learning, helping to build a culture of literacy at our school.
