An action that we have taken to support our school’s learning focus is: | We have implemented a consistent, school-wide approach to strengthening literacy by sharing weekly literacy support strategies with families through a dedicated “Supporting Literacy at Home” section in our Week at a Glance (WAAG). |
This action supports our school’s learning focus in the following ways: | Who? School staff and families working together to support student literacy. Doing what? Providing practical literacy strategies each week that parents can use at home to reinforce reading, writing, and language development. How often? Weekly through the WAAG. Producing what evidence? Increased family engagement in literacy learning, stronger home-school connections, consistent literacy messaging between school and home, and greater parent confidence in supporting their child’s literacy development. |
