The Richmond School District is pleased to share that, with support from Feeding Futures and Canada’s National School Food Program, we will be piloting a universal hot lunch program at selected elementary and secondary schools. 

As part of this pilot, RC Palmer Secondary School will offer one complimentary hot lunch each month to all students during February, April, May, and June 2026. Lunch will be served during Palmer’s regular lunch hour, with each grade receiving their meal on a designated day to help ensure smooth service: 

• Grade 8 – Mondays 

• Grade 9 – Tuesdays 

• Grade 10 – Wednesdays 

• Grade 11 – Thursdays 

• Grade 12 – Fridays 

To help us plan appropriately, families are asked to register for their child’s lunch through the MunchaLunch system at the following link:

After logging in, please select your child’s lunch option for each of the four months. 

Our goal is to explore how regular, nutritious meals can support student wellbeing, readiness to learn, and a sense of community at school. Additional details, including menus and specific dates, will be shared with families in the coming weeks.
