Our Band students attended the Whistler Festival on the last weekend in April.   It was a very eventful weekend, with lots of learning, performing, appreciation and bonding. Happy memories were made! According to the Concert Band adjudicators, our Senior Band did REALLY well, and we are their "Top 3" personal favorites out of the entire Whistler festival. Our Jazz clinician, Dennis Esson, has invited us to two workshops with the Jazz Faculty at Capilano University in November and January next year. These two workshops will focus on rhythm section and big band skills. How exciting! Both. nights' evening concerts with Royal Canadian Artillery Band - featuring Jens Lindemann, and the New York Voices were amazing!   It was certainly unforgettable!
