The R.C. Palmer Ecoteam are hoping to join the Return-It School Story Contest. This contest is free for all schools in BC and is hosted by Return-It, a recycling agency. The prizes for the contest are as follows: 1st - $5000, 2nd - $2,500, 3rd - $1000.

To participate in this contest, the Ecoteam would collect recyclable beverage containers in our school until May 30th, 2027. These containers would then be returned to a local Return-It location, and the funds received would be donated to a charity.

We need your help to remind your children to keep and throw their recyclable beverage containers into one of the three bins sent by the Return-It team. The ECO Team plan to keep those bins in the student lounge, the south lounge, and near the gym.

The ECO Team volunteers will be responsible for sorting and counting all of the containers, creating a submission for the contest, and collecting the deposit refunds, but if you could remind your children, we will hopefully be able to collect many more containers and raise more funds that would go toward an environmental or school-related cause.

Thank you,

R.C. Palmer Ecoteam
