Hey Palmer Griffins! The University of Calgary will be having a presentation hosted by the Global Affairs and Economics club today at lunch time in room 204! As a top 10 university in Canada and a top 200 university globally with programs such as Sports & Kinesiology, Petroleum Engineering, Anatomy & Physiology, Nursing ranking top 50 globally, top 3 in Canada for the bachelors of health sciences, as well as many other prestigious and respected programs in Canada! If you would like to know more about this amazing university, its programs, admissions and life in Calgary, don’t forget to join today at room 204 during lunch time!

There will be a short mandatory meeting at break for the Sr. Girls Basketball team in Ms. Morit’s room (128) by the South Lounge. All players and managers who have attended tryouts are expected to attend.

Bonjour Griffins! Club Français is hosting a Halloween movie night in room 122 this Friday and next Friday at lunch. We’ll be watching the horror movie A Quiet Place, so invite your friends, bring some snacks and we’ll see you there!

Now an announcement for the November Graduation Assessment Session:

 

Due to BC General Employees' Union strike action in the BC Public Service, the Graduation Assessment Session for November 3-7, 2025 has been cancelled for all grade 10 and 12 assessments. Palmer grade 12 students, please stay tuned for information on rescheduling of the GLA 12.

The Ministry has confirmed that early admission to post-secondary institutions in B.C. will not be impacted by the cancellation, as students are able to write the assessments in another session (January, April, or June) and submit their results when completed.

With this news, ALL Palmer students - Please note that for November 5th and 6th, we will be having a PLT bell schedule. Students will be able to sign up for PLT for Nov 5-6 later this week.
