Cold and Flu Season - we need your help!

As we are now in the respiratory illness season, which includes COVID-19, cold and flu, we want to take a moment to send some reminders regarding what to do if you aren’t feeling well.

We ask all students to stay home if you aren’t feeling well and monitor your symptoms.  If you are showing symptoms of both COVID-19and flu, symptoms are listed below, please take an at home COVID-19 test.

Both COVID-19 and flu can have varying degrees of symptoms, ranging from no symptoms (asymptomatic) to severe symptoms. Common symptoms that COVID-19 and flu share include:

  • Fever or feeling feverish/having chills
  • Cough
  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
  • Fatigue (tiredness)
  • Sore throat
  • Runny or stuffy nose
  • Muscle pain or body aches
  • Headache
  • Vomiting
  • Diarrhea (more frequent in children with flu, but can occur in any age with COVID-19)
  • Change in or loss of taste or smell, although this is more frequent with COVID-19.

What happens if you test positive for COVID-19?

If you tested positive for COVID-19, follow this link for further details.

What happens if you test negative for COVID-19?

If you have mild symptoms and tested negative for COVID-19, or did not test, stay home until you do not have a fever and your symptoms have resolved, and you feel well enough to return to your regular activities.
