  • There will be a Griffins that Give meeting in Ms. Calacuiura’s room (Rm 102) at lunch today. (R)
  • Attention all Ms. Erfan’s math and science students, should you require some extra help, please feel free to drop by her room during lunch breaks any day. (R)
  • Attention ELL level 5 students: There is a meeting  TODAY. It’s time to write another essay in class. Please come to Room 203, Mr. Rikukawa’s class.  You can choose either lunch time or after school. This is mandatory. You must come to the meeting. See you in Room 203 TODAY.
  • There is a meeting for Vancouver Sun Run participants who are in Grade 10, in Ms. Zhao’s Room 202 today during lunch.
  • Looking for hours? Please sign up in the PE office to help scorekeep basketball games.
  • Good luck to our Junior Girls basketball team playing for third place today in the Burnaby South tournament.
  • Good luck to our Senior Boys Basketball team playing at Killarney in a tournament.
  • Looking for something to do after school? Come cheer on the Grade 8 Boys Basketball team vs RCSS in the large gym at 3:30.
  • Attention ALL grade 10 students, this Friday, January 24 we will be hosting the Graduation Numeracy Assessment (GNA). All Grade 10s must write this assessment in order to graduate high school. There will be two time slots to write the GNA. Students can find their assigned time slot and computer lab location on the front windows of the office. Please bring your student Go-Card/Government ID, pencil, eraser and non-programmable calculator. No other electronics will be permitted. 
  • Dry Grad are selling samosas during lunch on Friday, come out and grab some for your lunch!
  • Attention Students from grades 10 to 12!  You are invited to attend a presentation to learn about the Port of Vancouver Leadership Program. Students have the opportunity to train and to achieve 100 volunteer hours at various events across the Lower Mainland from March to December and to receive a $1000 bursary for successfully completing the leadership program. This presentation will take place on Thursday, JAN. 23/20 in the LIBRARY during LUNCH.
  • Yearbook is having a LOCKER decorating competition to celebrate Palmer’s 60th birthday on January 23rd.   There will be 5 categories and 5 fabulous prizes to be won (including a free yearbook and 4 footloose tickets).  Lets see those “Birthday” lockers!!
  • It's that time of the year when Palmer hosts its very own hip hop dance competition, Footloose. Footloose will take place on Friday, February 28. Tickets are available for purchase from the office or any dance squad member for $10 each. Footloose is a presale event only, tickets are NOT available at the door.  Don't hesitate, we sell out every year!
