  • Join our fun Science club during the lunch break in room 113 (science experiments are presented in the students lounge) with Ms. Erfan. (R)
  • Looking for service hours? See Mr. Leithman in the PE office to sign up for score keeping. There are still a few time slots left.
  • Good job grade 8 boys basketball team winning 41-31 over Burnett - a great team effort.
  • The Jr basketball team beat Boyd by 20 points! Wesly had 21, Natt 12, Justin 10 and Brandon had 8 - good job team.
  • Jr girls are moving on in their Burnaby south tournament vs Seacove -  Abby was player of the game.
  • Attention ALL grade 10 students, this Friday, January 24 we will be hosting the Graduation Numeracy Assessment (GNA). All Grade 10s must write this assessment in order to graduate high school. There will be two time slots to write the GNA. Students can find their assigned time slot and computer lab location on the front windows of the office. Please bring your student Go-Card/Government ID, pencil, eraser and non-programmable calculator. No other electronics will be permitted. 
  • Feel free to join us in Room 129 during lunch time for the Newcomer Youth Lunch Program – there are free snacks and juice and you can hang out and connect with other students.  This program will be held every Tuesday at lunch by the Youth Settlement Worker in Room 129 – hope to see you there!   • Attention Senior Math Club members, there is a regular club meeting tomorrow after school in Ms. Wang's room. See you all there!
  • Attention ELL level 5 students:There is a meeting on this Wednesday, January 22nd. It’s time to write another essay in class. Please come to Room 203, Mr. Rikukawa’s class.  You can choose either lunch time or after school. This is mandatory. You must come to the meeting. See you in Room 203 Wednesday.
  • Yearbook is having a LOCKER decorating competition next week to celebrate Palmer’s 60th birthday on January 23rd.  Sign up in the lounge on the rolling board to participate.  There will be 5 categories and 5 fabulous prizes to be won (including a free yearbook and 4 footloose tickets).  Lets see those “Birthday” lockers!!
  • Dry Grad are selling samosas during lunch on Friday, come out and grab some for your lunch!
  • It's that time of the year when Palmer hosts its very own hip hop dance competition, Footloose. Footloose will take place on Friday, February 28. Tickets are available for purchase from the office or any dance squad member for $10 each. Footloose is a presale event only, tickets are NOT available at the door.  Don't hesitate, we sell out every year!
