  • Griffins that Give meeting today at lunch in Mrs. Calaciura's room.  Volunteer hours will be recorded during this meeting.  English 9 Incentive students should bring their volunteer forms to this meeting. (R)
  • Attention all Ms. Erfan’s math and science students, should you require some extra help, please feel free to drop by her room during lunch breaks any day. (R)
  • Attention all grade 8-11 students: your fully completed, SIGNED Course Selection sheets are due to the Counselling Centre by Wednesday February 12th at 3:00 pm.  
  • Hey Palmer, there will be an open throw around TODAY after school at 3:15 on the back field – anyone interested in trying out for the Ultimate Team is welcome!
  • Good luck to the sr girls basketball team playing in the semi-finals of the South Fraser zone championship today at 5:15 today at Southridge Secondary. 
  • Good luck to the sr boys basketball team playing in the Richmond Championship vs McMath 4pm today at Boyd
  • Grade 8 boys and girls/ Jr boys and guys and girls basketball teams - please turn in your uniforms this week!!!!
  • Spring sports sign up has started.  If you’re interested in playing badminton, ultimate, sr girls soccer, tennis or track and field please sign up in the PE office. Work outs will start the week of the 24th. A schedule will be posted on the palmer webpage next week with times.
  • Badminton open gyms start next week Tuesday and Thursday 5:30-7:30.
  • Attention Grade 12’s – please submit an answer for the Grad Polls – Grad Polls have been sent out to all Grade 12’s and will be closed this FRIDAY, so please submit an answer asap!
  • Attention Grade 10-12’s! This Friday Feb 14, is the deadline to submit your applications to the Port of Vancouver Leadership program.  Applications are available from Ms. Mayer’s office.  Don’t miss this amazing opportunity!
  • Interested in the Professional Cook Program Open House at Richmond High? The deadline to apply is FEB 19th! The SD38 Career Programs office is proud be offering an opportunity for grades 9-11 students to spend a morning with our Professional Cook Youth Train in Trades program. This fantastic opportunity allows students to work alongside our current Youth Train in Trades students and Red Seal instructors.  Come experience first-hand what it would be like to take a college training program while in high school. Register now as space is limited.  Priority will be given to those in grades 10 and 11.  The Open House will be held on February 26th at Richmond Secondary School. To register, see your Career Information Advisor or the posters in your counselling centre.
  • It's that time of the year when Palmer hosts its very own hip hop dance competition, Footloose. Footloose will take place on Friday, February 28. Tickets are available for purchase from the office or any dance squad member for $10 each. Footloose is a presale event only, tickets are NOT available at the door.  Don't hesitate, we sell out every year!
