Daily Notices - Thursday December 5th 2019

  • Attention all Ms. Erfan’s math and science students, should you require some extra help, please feel free to drop by her room during lunch breaks any day. (R)
  • This is a reminder that there will be a Peer Tutoring Training session in Room 121 after school today.
  • Jazz Band - Junior Jazz will be meeting today at lunch!  Get ready to swing!
  • THE UNIVERSITY OF NEW BRUNSWICK VISITS PALMER TODAY! Please drop by to meet the UNB Representative and to learn what studying on the East Coast is like, and what programs they have that may be of interest to you. This is a longstanding school with a wonderful reputation and may have something you may be interested in, as well as their generous scholarships. See you there!
  • Good luck to our junior girls playing a home game today at 3:30 vs MacNeill.
  • Our Senior girls are traveling to SLSS for a 7pm game - good luck to them.
  • Looking for service hours? Don’t know how to score keep? Come to the large gym at lunch Friday to learn.
  • Do you identify as part of the LGBTQ+ community or as an ally? Are you interested to meet students from SOGI clubs across the school district? If you answered yes to these questions, the Rainbow Cafe may be a fun event for you! Cambie Secondary School will be hosting a Rainbow Cafe on Thursday, December 12 from 3:30-6PM. If you are interested to attend, please see Ms. Epp or Ms. Nallainathan to RSVP. Just like our SOGI meetings, food and a safe space will be provided at this event!
  • Library staff has noticed that, despite numerous reminders and announcements about not eating food at the computers or couches, people still don't seem to understand this very simple rule. To mitigate the problem, the library will be closed for the first 10 minutes at the start of lunch. If problems continue, we may have to either close the library for the majority of lunch or revisit allowing people to eat in the library.
