  • There will be a Global Network Meeting in Ms. van Kralingen’s room tomorrow at lunch, new members are welcome! (r)
  • Also, Global Network – we will be taking our Yearbook photo tomorrow at THE END of lunch, please wear your Global Network t-shirts!  See you there!
  • Griffin sports desk playoff update: Grade 9 girls won with a 6 points over McRoberts, 32-26 and they are now making their way to the V and D’s next week. When you see a member of the team give ’em a hi five and wish them good luck.
  • Sr Girls had a big win over McRoberts last night 62-37. They will now take on Boyd tonight at Burnett at 6pm. Now,  for the first time in a good few years, our girls are heading to the Lower Mainlands. Wish them well as you see them walking tall. Big Congrats to Rana G for making the All–Star team.
  • Attention Grade 8 and 9 Junior Math Club members:  A reminder that – due to Parent Teacher conferences today– this week's Junior Math Club meeting will be FRIDAY AFTER SCHOOL in Mr. Wong's room (NOT today). All members please attend, especially if you are on the Math 8 and 9 teams heading to the MathChallengers competition at UBC on February 23rd.
  • There will be a short SOGI meeting today at 1PM in room 121. Snacks and a safe space will be provided. All are welcome to attend. ​
  • To all ELL 5’s, there will be a monthly meeting this coming Friday in Room 203 with Mr. Tse at 3:00pm.  Again, this is the ELL 5 monthly meeting this coming Friday Feb 8th 2019.
  • Are you interested in being a part of the 2019-2020 Grade 11 Leadership class? If so, please pick up an application form from the front counter in the office.  Completed forms are due by 3pm February 22!
  • Attention Grade 10 and 11 students. The Richmond School District and The Art of Leadership have joined forces in providing an amazing 3-part leadership development series featuring keynote speaker, Malala Yousafzai! There are limited spots available. In order to secure a spot, please pick up an application form from the front counter in the office. Applications are due by 3pm February 8 to Ms. Naidu. Lates are NOT accepted!
  • Attention Grade 10-12’s – are you considering studying in Alberta?  The University of Calgary is coming on Monday Feb 11 in the library at lunch.  Come and join the presentation about their programs – they have many areas of study that may interest you.
  • A reminder to all Japan Exchange participants that you are expected to be at the potluck planning meeting in Room 121 at lunch on Monday February 11th – if you are unable to make this meeting, you must see Ms. Epp beforehand.
  • Its Valentines Season – Global Network is selling your annual Valentine’s Day Grams.  Pre-orders are available until Feb 12 at lunch in the lounge for $1.50 for a bag of 3 or $5 for 4 bags.  No preorders on Feb 6 or 7th due to early dismissal BUT we are selling Candy grams at our Vendor Market today from 4-8pm!
  • Student Council are selling Valentine’s Day Roses!
  • JAX Club are selling stuffies in the lounge for Valentines Day!
  • Attention Griffins!  It’s that time of the year again!  FOOTLOOSE!  FOOTLOOSE is Palmer’s own hip hop dance competition happening on Friday Feb 22.  Come cheer on the Palmer Dance Team as they compete against 35 other teams!  Purchase tickets from any dance squad member or from the office.  Don’t delay, we sell out each year.  Tickets are NOT available at the door!
