Dance Squad

Palmer's Dance Squad started back in 2005 with Jonathan Kol and Jennie-Lyn Pamintuan heading up the Senior Team and Ms. Naidu being the teacher sponsor. The first year for Dance Squad was challenging as they were an unknown team with no money and no place to practice. The squad performed at Spotlight on Palmer and the Pep Rally and entered their first ever competition at Port Moody Secondary School. Since then we have had support from extremely talented individuals from the Dance community, most of which are former Palmer alumni and a few who are not. We also expanded and hosted our first ever hip hop dance competition, Footloose, in 2007!  Money fund raised from Footloose over the past years has gone towards scholarships, dance competition fees, sound equipment, local charities and dance studio mirrors.  Furthermore, our dance squads went from being an unknown team to a force to be reckoned with!  We have showcased and won numerous competitions around the Lower Mainland from the hard work and dedication of our choreographers, guest choreographers and dance squad members As the new school year begins, we hope to make an even bigger impression on the school, school board and community at large! As we celebrated our 10-year anniversary for Footloose in 2016, Grade 12 student, Phillip Espinosa, created a tribute video
