At Palmer, we believe that every student has and can develop his/her leadership potential.  Leadership can be demonstrated in a wide variety of ways.  We urge every student to become involved in a positive way in some aspect of Palmer life this year.

Intramural games are played at lunch and are open to the entire student body. Students form their own teams and sign up to participate FOR FUN. Games vary but may include badminton, cageball, soccer and 3 on 3 basketball.

Students may become involved in drama, choir or band on a credit or non-credit basis. Those who choose to participate are expected to commit themselves to regular practice sessions as well as special performances. Students may audition for the major theatre production(s) put on each year, regardless of whether or not they are currently taking theatre classes. As with all extracurricular activities, students must be prepared to keep up with their school work.

The Student Council is an excellent leadership opportunity for students.  The Council is responsible for overseeing and coordinating student activities.  It plans dances, spirit weeks, talent shows, Palmer Idol, and other school-wide events.  It also raises funds for charities. Students are encouraged to participate in all events organized by student council.

This committee works in planning graduation activities including fundraising activities, the Halloween Haunted House, the Grad Fashion Show, the Boat Cruise, and the Grad Dinner & Dance.  This committee is a great leadership opportunity for senior students.

Students broaden their horizons by traveling to different places that help them develop and grow into insightful individuals. Palmer provides a variety of trips that create memorable experiences between our students.  Some examples are:

Ashland Trip

Costa Rica Trip

Camp Squamish

Geography 12 Trip
